Our brief was to design and develop an innovative toy premium that would appeal to both boys and girls aged 8-12 yrs. Our client suggested a toy that jumped through inversion of a plastic moulding. A product like this has been around for many years made of rubber. The challenge was to take this idea and produce it cheaply.
We were faced with many challenges whilst developing this item. We made over 30 prototype tools and samples in-house to perfect the design. We worked closely with the Chinese factory from start to finish. We had to include decoration and developed a system for inserting in-mould labels into 24 cavities at a time.
Popz became a big success and the promotion was rolled out in the following territories: Poland, Turkey, Spain, Greece, Mexico and Israel .
