Sam Morgan-Moore, film maker and photographer, came up with the idea of an adjustable gear to fit any camera lens allowing the lens to be motor driven for focus. Dufort Associates made a series of prototype moulds to prove the concept. Once perfected we developed tooling for in-house manufacture. These Zip Tie Focus Gears are sold all over the world and we have made over 25,000 of them.
